SUA Palooza Volunteer

Want to help with SUA Palooza? We are looking for volunteers to help us with auction gift solicitation, decor, food and drink, raffles and games, serve as a host and hostesses of the event, serve as a gift gathering party host, hospitality, set up the week of the event and tear down the day after. SUA Palooza will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022. SUA Palooza is the one and only all-school fundraising event, which benefits all students of Saint Ursula Academy.

SUA Palooza Volunteer

  • Help us to solicit new vendors for items/services during the months of September through January. The silent auction is typically made up of over 150 packages. In addition to gifts the committee solicits we are receive gifts through gift gathering parties, SUA Alumnae Association and the SUA community.
  • Help us solicit new vendors for LARGE items/services during the months of September through January. The live auction is made up of 5-6 large packages including unique experiences and vacation homes.
  • Assist the food and drink chair in selecting the menu, signature cocktail and food layout and timing for the event. SUA Palooza is dinner by the bite and there is no assigned seating or sit down dinner.
  • Assist the decor chair in planning the event theme and layout.
  • Assist the raffles and games chair to generate ideas for the raffles and games at the event as well as securing donations for the raffles and games as needed.
  • Ask 3 other couples to join you at SUA Palooza (you do NOT pay for their tickets) and donate an item to the silent auction. Your name will be listed on the invitation and eblasts. September through January
  • Gift gathering parties are a great way to meet other SUA families and friends while supporting SUA Palooza. SUA hosts two gift gathering parties in the fall (dates are TBD). Hosts are asked to help underwrite the parties as well as invite others to join them.
  • Assist the hospitality chair in organizing food and drink for the volunteers the week of the event.
  • Help organize and distribute the gifts to the students on Monday, December 7, 2021 during lunch (approximately 11:30-1:45pm) **Note date change due to other student activities during lunch on December 6.**
  • Assemble shelving, display items, dress tables, etc... Come anytime. Men Needed!
  • Set up silent auction items for display, prepare games and raffles and assist with decor set up. Come anytime and stay for any length of time!
  • Finalize set-up. Come anytime and stay any length of time!
  • Join in the fun by working the evening of the event. Time is approximately 5:00pm-11:00pm.
  • Join the SUA advancement staff and maintenance department as we tear down the decorations and move any remaining items from the gym back to the Administrative Building. The more help we have the fast we can finish!
