Generally, between 5-10% of our applicants are awarded this scholarship, depending on how many essays are submitted. Below is a look at the guidelines. While all of the essays received showcase each impressive applicant, essays selected for scholarships respond to the topic with a unique response that is highly genuine. If your daughter receives this scholarship, she will be notified via a certificate in her enrollment packet (delivered by USPS) in January.
Essay Scholarship Guidelines
Saint Ursula will offer one-year awards in the amount of $1000 which are not based on the High School Placement Test scores. 8th grade girls must apply for admission and submit HSPT scores, however, these awards will require a separate essay submission by November 25, 2025. Many students will apply for this scholarship and a limited number of essays will be selected to receive the scholarship. Families will be notified in their acceptance packet if they have been selected to receive an award.
The admissions committee will review the submissions for the criteria listed in the prompts and for genuine and unique responses in the student's call to action essays.
